Accept that everything is getting worse and plan accordingly

Other parties promise to fix things. We think thats dishonest. Things are getting worse and they have been getting worse for quite some time now. The trains are worse. The roads are worse. The weather is worse. Freddos are 30p.

Rather than pretending we can reverse this, we propose managing the decline with a bit of dignity. A sort of national hospice care. Keep everyone comfortable, manage expectations, and try to maintain a sense of humour about the whole thing.

Specific proposals:

A National Managed Decline Framework, setting out which services will deteriorate and in what order. Transport first, then bins, then everything else. At least this way people can plan ahead.

A "Things Can Always Get Worse" awareness campaign, to replace the current approach of promising improvements and then apologising when they dont happen.
