An 'Educational Needs Plan' for Every Child
Every child is special. Labelling some as SEN clearly isn't working.
Support teacher availability and class sizes are often allocated by the number of SEN children in each, rather than by their actual needs.
Children who don't have a SEN plan may have needs that are not being provided for. This is often because the parents have not been able to navigate the system or fight the local government to agree they need extra resources
This policy fixes the issue by saying that every child has an educational needs plan that lists:
- where they excel
- where they struggle
- health and social issues
- support recommendations
- parents communication wishes
It can be updated as needed, but should be reviewed annually (e.g., at parent evenings).
The plan should stay with the child when they change schools.
This plan is about giving all children equality and tailored education, not support solely based on the ability of their parents to navigate and fight the system.

Wind, solar, tidal. We have them.
More domestic energy means fewer global price shocks.
6. End the Loyalty Penalty
Customers move automatically to the best tariff.
No tricks. No traps.
7. Targeted Support
Help for vulnerable households is automatic.
No forms. No waiting. If you qualify, you get it.
8. Smart Tech That Works
Clear, useful energy data.
If it needs a manual, it’s failed.
9. Real Accountability
Regulators will have teeth.
Bad actors face penalties, including suspended dividends.
