Community principles

Three things we ask of everyone here.

1. Be kind

Disagree with the policy. Disagree vigorously. But don't make it personal. The person who wrote the policy you disagree with is a person. Mock the idea. Not the human behind it.

Slurs, threats, and personal attacks are removed. Repeat offenders are banned. This isn't complicated.

2. Be thoughtful

Opinions are welcome. Make your case and explain your reasoning. If you claim something is true, be prepared to defend it in the comments.

Good ideas attract good debate. Lazy assertions get challenged. That is the system working as intended.

3. Be curious (and occasionally funny)

Good political debate involves changing your mind when presented with a better argument. That's not weakness. That's thinking.

Humour is genuinely welcome here. The 😄 reaction exists for a reason. Political satire has a long and important history. Just don't pretend to be someone you're not.

Ask questions. Engage with counterarguments. A policy that survives scrutiny is a better policy for it.

Moderation

This is a small platform. We moderate by community flagging and human review. If you see something that violates these principles, use the ⚑ flag button. We read every flag.

We will never remove content because it's politically inconvenient. We will remove content because it's harmful, false, or cruel. The difference matters, and we think about it carefully.
