Ditch the US-centric foreign policy already

I'm sick of seeing our government jumping to the tune of the US, it's embarrassing. We're meant to be an independent nation but every time there's a major foreign policy decision to be made, we're always sucking up to the Americans. I've had enough of it, we need to start putting our own interests first.

I think we should start by withdrawing from the five eyes intelligence sharing agreement, it's just a way for the US to get us to do their bidding. We should be focusing on building our own relationships with other countries, particularly in Europe and the Middle East, rather than just tagging along with the US. And another thing, we need to stop following the US into these disastrous wars, it's not in our national interest and it's not like we've got a great track record of success in these interventions anyway.
