Prioritise Scots in Scottish Homes

We should introduce a new policy that prioritises social housing for Scottish residents, particularly those who have been on the waiting list for years. This is desperately needed because it's getting to the point where people who have lived and worked in Scotland their whole lives are being pushed to the back of the queue for a roof over their head. I've seen it happen to families in my own community, and it's heartbreaking to think that they're being denied a basic necessity like a home.

The way it would work is that we'd give priority to Scottish residents who have been on the waiting list for a certain amount of time, let's say five years or more. This would ensure that people who have been waiting patiently for a home are finally given a chance to get one. We'd also introduce stricter rules on who is eligible for social housing, to prevent people from outside Scotland from jumping the queue.
