Enough with the endless queues for simple visas, it’s hurting our communities!

I was at the post office the other day, and there was a woman in front of me, clearly distressed, trying to sort out some paperwork for her husband who's trying to come over from India to work in our local hospital. She was at her wits' end with the complexity of the online forms and the sheer amount of time it was taking. She’d been trying for months, and he’s a skilled cardiac surgeon, exactly the sort of person we desperately need. It just struck me how absurd it is that we’re making it so difficult for people who want to contribute positively to our country to actually get here.

This isn't about open borders; it’s about common sense and efficiency. We should have a streamlined, clearly defined fast-track visa system for essential workers in critical sectors like healthcare and social care.
