Enough with the energy companies rinsing us dry!

Why are we letting private companies hoard energy profits while families freeze? It's a racket, pure and simple. They’re always bleating about investment when prices go up, but where’s the trickle-down for us lot?

My proposal is dead simple: nationalise the big six energy suppliers. Bring them back under public ownership, like they used to be. That way, any profits made go back into keeping bills down for ordinary people, or into investing in proper green energy infrastructure that benefits everyone, not just shareholders. It’s not rocket science, is it? It’s about making sure essential services are run for the public good, not private greed.

Think about it. We wouldn't have these ridiculous price hikes every few months. We could plan investment in renewables without worrying about quarterly reports. We could even use the profits to subsidise heating for pensioners and low-income families.
