It’s easy to get caught up in the stories you hear, but we need to remember that foreign policy has to serve our own country’s interests first. We have our own challenges here at home, with stretched services and local communities struggling to make ends meet. Any approach to international issues has to start with what’s best for Britain and its citizens.
That means securing our borders properly. It’s not about being unfeeling; it’s about knowing who is coming into the country and ensuring we can manage our resources responsibly. We simply can’t have an open door while our own people are waiting for houses and struggling to get doctor’s appointments. Controlled immigration is essential for a stable society and a strong economy for everyone here.
When it comes to international aid, it needs to be effective and targeted.
