If politicians don't have to live by the rules, why should anyone else?

Why should people who break the law get to keep their jobs, especially when they’re meant to be upholding it? It makes no sense. We’ve got politicians getting themselves arrested and then just carrying on as if nothing happened. It’s a joke.

My proposal is simple: if a serving politician is arrested for anything more than a parking ticket, they’re suspended immediately. No arguments, no lengthy appeals. And if they’re found guilty, they’re out. Permanently. We need to clean up the system and show that nobody is above the law, not even the people making it. This isn’t about being harsh, it’s about basic accountability.

And while we’re at it, we should consider making people stand down if they’re found to have lied to Parliament or the public. It undermines trust entirely.
