Why are our energy bills still so high? Wales needs to take charge of its own power.

It’s just infuriating how much of our family budget goes on electricity and gas, and for what? Every time the bill lands, I just see money that could go to childcare or literally anything else for my kids. We’re told to conserve and insulate, which we do our best with, but the prices still just keep climbing. It feels like we're just feeding a broken system that doesn’t actually care about ordinary people or what Wales could be doing for itself.

My idea is simple: let’s actually invest in real, local energy generation right here in Wales. Not just a few massive projects, but smaller, community-owned wind and solar farms. Imagine if a village or even a whole valley could own their own power source and generate electricity for themselves, cutting out the middleman and keeping the profits local.
