Scrap First Past The Post Already

I'm proposing we switch to a proportional representation system because it's the only way to make our elections actually represent the people. We've been using first past the post for too long and it's led to a bunch of safe seats where the MP just goes through the motions because they know they'll get re-elected no matter what.

We need a system where every vote counts, not just the ones in marginal constituencies. Proportional representation would make MPs work harder to represent their constituents because they'd actually have to compete for votes. It's not rocket science, other countries have been using it for years and it works just fine. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's a heck of a lot better than what we've got now.

The way it would work is that each party would get a number of seats proportional to the number of votes they got nationwide.
