Enough with the meddling, let the doctors do their jobs!

We need to put qualified, experienced nurses and doctors in charge of hospital budgets and decisions, not some bean counters in Whitehall. They’re the ones who know what’s actually needed on the wards, not some politician who’s never seen a sick person outside of their own family.

This constant fiddling with NHS structures is just a distraction. It’s like I’m trying to fix a leaky pipe, and someone keeps telling me to change the brand of tape I’m using instead of letting me get on with the job. It just causes more problems and waste, and the patients suffer.

Let’s give hospitals more autonomy to hire the staff they need and invest in the equipment that works, rather than chasing every new management trend. It’s not complicated. Good tradespeople know you don’t cut corners on materials or training, and it’s the same for healthcare.
