Stop Hammering First-Time Buyers

I think we should scrap stamp duty for all first-time buyers to help them get on the housing ladder. It's getting ridiculous how much young people have to save just to get started, and it's no wonder so many are giving up on the idea of owning their own home. The current system is basically a tax on aspiration, and it's hitting our children and grandchildren the hardest.

We need to make it easier for young families to afford a place of their own, not harder. The way things are now, it's like we're telling them to just keep renting and forget about ever owning a home. That's not the kind of country I want to live in, where people are priced out of their own communities. I've seen it happen in our village, where kids who grew up here can't afford to move back with their own families.

Scrapping stamp duty for first-time buyers would be a big help, and it's not like it would break the bank.
