This whole FPTP thing is a joke. We need PR NOW.

Honestly, how many more elections do we have to go through where the Tories or Labour get in with a minority of the vote? It’s infuriating. People feel like their vote doesn't count, especially in safe seats, and it just entrenches the same old problems. We end up with governments that don't represent the majority of people, and it makes it nearly impossible for smaller parties or independent voices to ever get a look in. It’s a system designed to keep the powerful in power.

What we need is a move to Proportional Representation. Not some watered-down version, but genuine PR. This would mean that the number of seats a party gets in Parliament actually reflects the percentage of votes they receive nationwide. It would force parties to appeal to a broader base of voters, not just focus on swinging a few marginal seats.
