Scrap the NHS Bureaucracy

I was at the hospital last week visiting my sister who's been struggling with a chronic condition and I couldn't help but notice the sheer amount of paperwork the nurses had to deal with - it's like they're more concerned with filling out forms than actually treating patients. I spoke to one of the nurses and she told me that they have to spend at least an hour a day just doing administrative tasks, it's madness.

I think this is a symptom of a larger problem - the NHS has become far too bloated and bureaucratic. We need to strip away some of the red tape and let doctors and nurses do what they do best, treat patients. I'm not saying we should get rid of the NHS altogether, but we need to make it more efficient and more focused on patient care. I've seen it in my own practice as an accountant, when you have too many people involved in the decision-making process, things get slow and nothing gets done.
