I’m utterly fed up with the endless hand-wringing and half-baked ideas about energy. We keep hearing about net zero targets and grand plans for renewables, which are all well and good in theory, but frankly, it feels like we're neglecting the basics. My heating bill has shot up again, and all I hear is more talk about windmills and solar panels that aren't even reliable when the weather’s grim. It’s not just about virtue signalling; it's about keeping the lights on and the country running without bankrupting ordinary families. We need a pragmatic approach, not just aspirational targets that seem to ignore the realities of energy demand.
What we really need is a serious, long-term strategy for reliable energy generation. This means investing in a diverse mix.
