Every child should be able to get an NHS dentist

My daughter hasnt seen an NHS dentist in two years. We rang every practice within 20 miles. All full. We ended up going private at 80 quid a checkup.

Not everyone can do that.

NHS dentistry is in collapse. Dentists are leaving because the contract makes it financially impossible to provide decent care. The UDA system rewards volume over quality and everyone in the profession knows it.

Scrap the UDA system. Pay NHS dentists properly. Make it a legal requirement that every child can access an NHS dentist in their local authority area.

Childrens teeth shouldnt depend on their parents postcode or bank balance.
