Give Local Councils Real Power

We should give local councils more autonomy to make their own decisions on healthcare and social services, rather than being dictated to by central government. This is needed because every community is different and what works in one area won't necessarily work in another, so it's only sensible that local people are given more of a say in how their services are run.

I've seen it time and time again in our village, where a one-size-fits-all approach from central government just doesn't work, and it's the people on the ground who know what's really needed. If local councils had more power, they could tailor their services to meet the specific needs of their community, rather than just following some generic blueprint drawn up in London. It would also allow them to respond more quickly to emerging issues, rather than having to wait for approval from on high.
