Time to Get Real in Westminster

I'm sick of all the nonsense in Westminster, it's about time someone spoke some sense. All this shouting and posturing, it's like a bunch of kids in a playground. Our politicians should be better than that, they should be working for US, not just trying to score points off each other.

I talk to real people every day, customers in the DIY store, and they're FED UP with it all. They want to see some decent leadership, not all these overpaid MPs behaving like idiots. We need a government that can negotiate trade deals and represent our interests with some authority, not one that's too busy bickering to get anything done. And another thing, what's with all the focus on Scotland and the rest, what about Watford, what about our high street, it's been ruined by all the changes.

We need a government that will put Britain first, and that means being tough on things like immigration, and supporting our own industries.

You're right about the bickering, mate. Saw some MPs on the telly the other night, looked like they were about to start chucking their papers at each other over something trivial. Honestly, I've had smoother arguments with a fare trying to get out of paying the full whack. It's a joke when you think about the real issues, like getting decent lorry drivers on the road instead of these delivery apps taking over.

I agree that the constant infighting in Parliament is exhausting. It would be great if we could see more cross-party cooperation on issues like supporting local businesses and infrastructure, rather than just partisan point-scoring. It feels like some MPs forget they're supposed to be working for everyone, not just their own party.

Cross-party cooperation sounds nice, but weren't we just debating that policy about limiting government intervention in the market, which is exactly the sort of thing that stifles local businesses?

It's funny you mention lorry drivers, @CabbiEddie, because I was just reading something about how much better freight transport could be if we invested more in rail over here, and think of all the emissions we'd save.
