Free buses for school kids? About blooming time they did summat for us!

We need to make all school transport free for kids up to 16. It’s simple really, parents shouldn’t have to worry about getting their bairns to school, especially now everything costs a fortune. I’ve seen mums and dads skipping meals to afford bus fares, and it’s just not on. If the government can find money for other things, they can find it for our kids.

This would help loads of families in areas like mine, where the nearest school might be a few miles away and the buses are always packed and expensive. It’s not just about the money though, it’s about making sure every child can get a decent education without their parents stressing themselves sick. We rely on those buses, and making them free would be a massive relief for so many.

The buses are already there, it’s just about changing the ticketing system.
