I think we should scrap university fees for kids from working-class backgrounds, it's the only way to level the playing field. The current system is rigged against them, with wealthy kids getting all the advantages and poor kids being priced out of a decent education. It's no surprise that most politicians and bosses come from wealthy families, they've had every opportunity handed to them on a plate.
The thing is, university fees are just a barrier to people who can't afford them, and that's usually working-class kids. They're already at a disadvantage because their parents didn't go to uni, so they don't know the system, they don't have the contacts, and they don't have the money to fall back on. By scrapping fees for these kids, we can give them a fair chance to get a decent education and compete with the wealthy kids.
It's not just about fairness, it's also about what's good for the country.
