Stop Pricing Out Our Kids from Housing

I'm fed up with seeing my students' families struggle to find decent housing in our area, it's like the system is designed to keep them down. I've had kids come to school exhausted because their family's been forced to move to the other side of town, just to find a place they can afford. It's not just the kids who suffer, their parents are working multiple jobs just to keep a roof over their heads, and still they're barely scraping by.

It's clear to me that the current housing market is broken, and it's time for a change. We need to start building more council houses, and we need to do it now. I'm talking about proper, affordable housing, not these fancy "affordable" flats that are still out of reach for most people. We should be looking at rent control, and making sure that landlords can't just hike up the prices whenever they feel like it.
