I’m sick to death of seeing perfectly good bits of land churned up for these endless wind farms and solar panels. You walk down the high street and half the shops are boarded up, but we’ve got millions being poured into projects that don’t even seem to work half the time. We’re told it’s for the environment, but what about the environment of the people living here? My customers in the shop are sick of the energy bills, and nobody seems to care.
We need to stop all this fiddling about with renewables and focus on what actually keeps the lights on and our industries going. Let’s invest in proper, reliable energy, whatever that might be, and stop pretending these windmills are the answer to everything. They’re an eyesore, they’re noisy, and I bet they don’t even generate the power they promise when the wind isn’t blowing or it’s too cloudy.
