Honestly, it drives me mad seeing what passes for education these days. All this focus on identity politics and virtue signalling instead of equipping kids with actual knowledge and skills. My son’s school keeps talking about "decolonising the curriculum" or whatever rubbish it is, but what they really need is a decent grasp of maths and English so they can get a job later. It’s just performative nonsense that doesn't help anyone, least of all the kids. We're wasting their time and taxpayer money on this.
What we need is a radical shake-up. Bring back phonics and proper grammar. Focus on STEM subjects and practical skills that employers actually need. I’m talking about apprenticeships being front and centre, not just an afterthought.
