Sort Out Our Defence Spending

I think we should stop wasting money on outdated defence projects and focus on investing in cutting-edge tech, cos let's be real, that's what's gonna keep us safe in the future. We need to get with the times and start putting our money into things like cyber warfare and artificial intelligence, not just traditional army and navy stuff. It's not just about having the biggest and best guns, it's about being smart and adaptable, and that's what's gonna give us an edge over other countries.

We're still throwing money at old-school defence projects that aren't even relevant anymore, and it's a total waste, imo. I mean, how many tanks do we really need, when most of our threats are coming from online and from terrorist groups. We need to be more strategic about how we're spending our defence budget, and make sure we're getting the best value for our money.

So we're talking about tanks versus AI? I'm just wondering if the cyber warfare division has enough baby wipes for all the digital tantrums they're going to cause.

I think Grace is onto something with the baby wipes, sounds like the cyber warfare division is gonna be dealing with a lot of blowback, but I'm pretty sure the policy is talking about actual online threats, not just people throwing digital tantrums, and to be honest, that's a whole different kind of messy.

How exactly does the author of this policy propose we pay for this shift towards cutting-edge tech, given that the defence budget is already stretched thin and raising taxes is not a viable option?
