Adapted from NHS Funding Over Vanity Projects by The Balance Sheet Party

Stop Wasting Our Money. Fund Our NHS Properly.

This sounds like another load of politician talk. They always say they want to fund the NHS, but then they don’t. This idea of bonds sounds complicated. Why do we need private money involved? The NHS is supposed to be for us, not for making money for bankers.

We just need to stop sending our money abroad. That foreign aid rubbish. We give billions away while our own hospitals are falling apart. And what about all these “vanity projects” the original writer mentioned? Like that massive new building in London they don’t even need. That’s where the money is. Stop the waste at home first.

It’s not rocket science. Focus on the basics. Get more nurses and doctors trained here, not from overseas where they’re needed. Pay them properly. Make sure the hospitals have the beds and equipment they actually need, not fancy new apps nobody uses. Enough is enough.

My customers at the shop, they’re not worried about overseas aid.

This whole "stop sending money abroad" argument always misses the point. Charity doesn't stop our hospitals from needing proper funding or management. It's a distraction from the real issue of how the money we do spend is being used.
