Stop Funding Regimes That Abuse Kids

I was talking to a mum from Yemen the other day, her kid's been injured in a bombing and she's struggling to get them medical help, it's heartbreaking. She told me the UK government's still selling arms to the Saudis, who are basically responsible for the mess over there, and that just doesn't sit right with me.

I don't get why we're still propping up regimes that have such terrible human rights records, it's like we're okay with what they're doing as long as they're buying our stuff. I've seen the impact of poverty and lack of opportunity on kids in Liverpool, and it's bad enough, but at least we've got a system that's supposed to help, even if it's not perfect. In places like Yemen, it's like the world's just abandoned them.

I think we need to stop selling arms to countries that are committing human rights abuses, it's not that hard.
