What's the point of having a justice system if the people in charge are just gonna make jokes about it, I mean come on. You've got the defence secretary and some other high-up making light of prisoner release, it's a joke.
I've seen some stuff in my time driving a cab, people getting mugged, assaulted, and what do they get, a slap on the wrist, it's ridiculous. My proposal is to have a system where the punishment fits the crime, no more of this early release nonsense. If you do the crime, you do the time, it's simple.
I've had passengers in the back of my cab, victims of crime, and they're still shaken, still scared, and the perpetrator is out on the streets again, it's not right. We need to take a harder stance on crime, not just pay lip service to it. The justice system should be about justice, not about being soft on criminals.
