Scrap First Past The Post Already

I'm fed up with the way our electoral system is rigged against smaller parties, it's like they want to keep the same old faces in power forever. Every election it's the same story, people voting tactically because they don't want to waste their vote, it's a joke. I've seen friends and family members vote for someone they don't really believe in just because they think it's the only way to keep the other lot out.

I'd change it to a proportional representation system, where every vote actually counts for something. It's not rocket science, other countries have been doing it for years and it seems to work just fine for them. We'd get a more representative parliament, with a diverse range of voices and opinions, not just the same old two-party dominance. It would be a breath of fresh air, and might actually encourage people to get involved in politics again.
