What's the point of having a national health service if you can't even get a doctor's appointment when you need one, I mean I've had passengers who've had to wait months for a routine checkup.
I was talking to a bloke in the back of my cab the other day and he was telling me about how his mate had to go private just to get a knee replacement, it's a joke, we pay our taxes and expect to be taken care of, not have to shell out thousands of pounds for something the NHS should be covering.
My proposal is to scrap the current system and replace it with one where everyone pays a bit more tax but gets a guaranteed level of service, no more waiting lists, no more going private just to get treated like a human being.

We’re expecting doctors and nurses to do more with less, and that’s where the delays come from. I heard from one of the lads whose missus is a nurse, she's run ragged.
If you want guaranteed service, you have to pay for it, whether through higher taxes or private insurance. The current system is clearly failing to deliver. I’d rather see a more efficient, perhaps privately run, system that actually gets people seen, even if it means a different funding model.
