Why on earth do we allow people to simply rock up to our shores, often illegally, and then expect the British taxpayer to pick up the tab for their housing, food, and legal aid? It makes a mockery of national sovereignty and personal responsibility. No other country in its right mind would tolerate such a chaotic system, especially when we have our own citizens struggling. This isn’t compassion, it’s just plain mismanagement and frankly, an insult to those who actually contribute to this country.
My proposal is simple. If you want to come to the United Kingdom, you must apply from outside our borders, and you must demonstrate that you can support yourself fully from day one. There would be no automatic access to benefits, social housing, or free healthcare for those arriving without a pre-approved visa that explicitly states these entitlements.
